     very own blog, along with an archive of columns, essays, and other stuff.  
Hip Hop Webliography:  A long list of links to hip hop sites, courtesy of Simmons
     College and the fellow who teaches Music Librarianship (Yes, there is such a 
     field.  Check the MLA).   
NewMusicBox:  A web magazine from the American Music Center, an 
     organization for composers.   
OperaGlass:  A site devoted to opera, from Stanford University.
Zolius, by Carl Wilson:  Another music critic's blog, Wilson writes for the 
     Toronto Globe & Mail.

"Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (1966-2004):  Lead guitarist for the heavy metal 
     band Pantera, and more recently, Damageplan.
Frederick Fennell (1914-2004):  Cleveland native and famous wind ensemble 
     director who spent much of his career at the Eastman School of Music.
Sidonie Goossens (1899-2004):  Harpist for the BBC Symphony Orchestra 
     for more than 50 years.
Dick Heckstall-Smith (1934-2004):  Jazz/blues saxophonist and member of 
     John Mayall's Bluesbreakers in the 1960s.  
Jerry Orbach (1935-2004):  TV actor, but more importantly here, successful 
     Broadway singer, in such shows as "The Fantasticks" and "Guys and Dolls."
Son Seals (1942-2004):  Chicago bluesman and guitarist.
Artie Shaw (1910-2004):  Clarinetist, band leader, and major figure in the Swing  
     Era of the 1930s and 1940s.  
Renata Tebaldi (1922-2004):  One of the great sopranos of the 1950s, famed 
     for her work in Italian operas.
