     the history and importance of Mr. Poole, banjo player and vocalist from the 
     1920s and 1930s.  The set includes music by other country artists of the period,

     from four operas that featured Cleopatra in a major role.

ˇAzúcar! The Life and Music of Celia Cruz.  Online exhibit from the National 
     Museum of American History celebrating the career of this salsa star. 
Birthplace of Country Music Alliance.  No, it's not Nashville.  Bristol, 
     Tennessee is the place where the Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers were first 
     recorded in 1927.  This organization is putting up a cultural heritage center to 
     commemorate the musicians who broke through to a national market there.
Live Music Archive.  A place to hear concert recordings by over 1,000 artists, 
     including rock, jazz, folk, blues, and lots of other genres.
NetNewMusic.  A portal similar to the above listing, but this one features avant-
     garde and contemporary classical works.
