Welcome to October, and a new issue of Fistful. We hope you're getting through the semester and finding the music you need to help you. This time around we have a wide variety of offerings, including a number of requests, local music and music from far away, current music and music from distant times. We think there's something for everyone. If you disagree, and have suggestions about what we should add to the collection, please don't hesitate to e-mail us, or write down your comments in the notebook that sits on top of the CD cabinets in the Schneider Room. The Blues, Black Vaudeville and the Silver Screen, 1912-1932	Part of the Digital Library of Georgia, this site contains material related to Macon's Douglass Theatre, a major stop on the Black vaudeville circuit.
Cylinder Preservation & Digitization Project	The University of California at Santa Barbara is transferring early cylinder recordings to digital format. You can listen!
The Eubie Blake Collection	From the Maryland Historical Society, this site has huge amounts of material on this ragtime/jazz pioneer.
