VIDEO RECORDING EVENTS
Media Services can video record campus events at a charge of $8.00 per hour.
- Campus Departments may pay charges through their departmental accounts, and an account number must be given to the Media Center before the requested event.
- All requests to have an event video recorded must be made at least two weeks in advance to allow enough time to find and schedule a student assistant to record the event, as well as provide advance notice in the event that a videographer is unavailable. In those cases, we can setup a camcorder and tripod for the event, and provide training in the use of the equipment.
In compliance with the current copyright laws, any guest speaker(s) who appears for a campus event must signed a consent form allowing us to record them via video, and/or audio. Also, Media Services must receive a copy of the consent form before an event is video recorded.
