Academic Search Premier (off-campus Hiram users, click here)
Multi-disciplinary database that indexes and abstracts some 4,300 periodicals.  Provides full-text to more than 3,300 with 2,500 being peer-reviewed journals.
Electronic Journals Center (off-campus Hiram users, click here) 
Searchable, full-text issues of nearly 4,000 journals from major publishers.
Applied Science and Technology (off-campus Hiram users, click here) 
Indexes more than 400 core sources in science and technology.

Indexes and abstracts the scientific and technical literature in physics, computer science, information technology, and electrical engineering.  INSPEC covers more than 4,000 journals, more than 2,000 conference proceedings, books, reports and dissertations.    Coverage is international and goes back to 1969 with more than 6.7 million records.

The key indexing source in biology, it covers nearly 6,000 journals published around the world.

Indexes 300+ key periodicals in biology and agricultural science.
Medline (off-campus Hiram users, click here) 
Indexes 3,900 international journals (in 40 languages) in the health sciences. Nursing, dentistry, and pharmacy are included in addition to medicine and medical research.
LexisNexis Academic Universe  (off-campus Hiram users, click here)
Great source for full-text newspaper articles.  Covers U.S. and international news sources and a selection of college and university newspapers.  The news section has a separate entry for sports news.  Also contains the transcripts of TV and radio news programs, as well as wire service stories. 

Locating Periodicals
Once you have identified relevant articles for your topic, you will need to find the actual article.  Depending on the database(s) you searched, you may have already found the text of the article online.  If not, to see which articles are owned by the Hiram College Library, check the Hiram College Library Periodicals Holdings List, as well as the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Finder to see which periodicals are available online in full-text.

Annual Reviews 
Searchable full-text of all 29 Annual Review publications.  Full-text is provided for 1996 to the present with bibliographic citations for the years 1984 through 1995.

The web version of McGraw-Hill's Encyclopedia of Science & Technology, the database also includes news from the world of science, biographies of famous scientists, and links to related articles.
