As decreed by the United Nations, December third is International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Beginning in 1992, it was done with the aim “to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.”  To celebrate we have put together some books to check out centered on disability or by authors who are disabled.
