Recently, the Library received access to some new databases. Students and faculty can use them anytime on-campus or from home. Included in these databases are two different resources with a focus on videos, JoVe, and Videos on Demand.
JoVe is a site that has several different resources focused on providing alternate ways of engaging with research and lab resources. The site produces and provides peer-reviewed science-based videos with the intent of helping students, teachers, and researchers. This format is used to help show the intricate steps of lab experiments, provide information on research being done, and educate users on different science concepts and lab methods.
Video on Demand is a broader database and provides many documentaries and education-based videos. The site features videos from many different production companies including PBS, A&E, History, ABC News, BBC, NBC News, among many others. Along with its many sources, it also has an array of topics that it covers and is great for anyone looking to supplement what they know or learn something completely new.
