Have you saved a link from a library database for a syllabus, Moodle site, or research? If the answer is yes, that link may need to be updated!
If your link begins with "http://ezproxy.hiram.edu/login?url=", you must update it by May 14 to preserve access to your materials.
Faculty: please triple check your syllabi, especially any syllabi with a link to OneSource in the library resources section. To save yourself future hassle and updates, we recommend removing the link all together and simply linking to the library’s homepage (https://library.hiram.edu/). A search box on the library's homepage will always allow students to find OneSource quickly.
If you have any questions or are unsure whether your link is correct, please contact us at email@example.com.
No problem! Just follow the steps above to change out your link to use https://login.hc.opal-libraries.org/login?url= as your link prefix.
In order to access library resources from anywhere, the library uses a proxy server to authenticate users and prove that they are associated with Hiram. This service is now managed by our consortium, OPAL, rather than a server here on campus. This was done at no extra cost and will save library and IT staff time.
