Obtaining Materials On Course Reserve

Your Instructor may place class materials at the library's front circulation desk. These items are called Course Reserves and are identified in the Hiram Catalog by the following information in the catalog:

In order to access these materials come to the Circulation Desk at the front of the library and tell them that there are materials on reserve that you would like to borrow.

You may check them out for a specific amount of time, typically anywhere from 2 hours to a week depending on the classes and the type of materials.

If you are trying to find out what materials are on Reserve for your class there are a few easy ways to do this.

  • Log into eHiram College (Moodle). Course reserved materials may be listed on your classes syllabus. Find the class in question on the left hand side of the Moodle interface. Click it and locate where your instructor has positioned the Syllabus, very often it is at the top of the page.
  • Search the Hiram College Library Catalog either by Course Name or number, or Instructor Name. If there are Reserves for your class the resulting list from the search will allow you to browse the list containing all the known materials that the instructor put on Reserve.
  • Come to the Circulation desk, we are happy to serve you.
