Need help connecting from off campus?

Not all of the materials available to you through the Hiram College Library are accessible when you're away from Hiram's network. Using Hiram's databases and other electronic resources from home or elsewhere often requires a login to connect. Take a look at this page if you have questions about or problems with your login.

Off Campus Login

To access Hiram's resources if you are off campus, log in with your Hiram username and password. For help with your username or password, visit Hiram's Password Manager.

What if that doesn't work?

  • Incorrect Username/Password: Make sure you’re using the correct Hiram login. If not, reset your password using Hiram's Password Manager.
  • Expired Password: Even if you can log in to other Hiram resources, an expired password can block library access. Reset it if needed.
  • Browser Issues: Try a different device or a different browser (Google, Safari, Firefox).
  • Wrong Barcode: When logging into the library catalog, check to make sure you are using the correct barcode (your college ID number).
  • Using Google/Google Scholar: This might link you to paid sites instead of free resources. Use OneSource or the library's authenticated Google Scholar link. If asked to pay, search for the article in OneSource.
  • If you’re still having trouble, contact the library.
