General Test Prep Resources (MCAT, LSAT, GRE, NCLEX, etc.)

The State of Ohio provides access to Learning Express Library, which is a test resource database. It includes GRE, MCAT, LSAT, NCLEX, and other post graduate study resources as well as study materials for career and job training. 

Materials include test prep books and practice tests. 

The website is available via the Ohio Means Jobs program, and it is geolocated to IP addresses within the state of Ohio. If you are an out of state student and want to use the program at home, you must register an account and use your Hiram College Address. Accessing and using Learning Express Library via Ohio Means Jobs:

  1. Create an account at: \You will be asked to fill in some information about yourself, but if you select that you are not looking for a job, you will not receive any emails.
  2. Once you’ve registered, go to: (or you can scroll down to Assessments and Training within your profile and click on view tests).
  3. Under Assessments and Training, click Visit Online Training Center
  4. In the search bar on the top right, type MCAT. GRE, LSAT, or whatever test you want to look for materials about. If you wait a second, options will come up that you can select from, or you can press enter to search and get a list of options with explanations. 
  5. For most of the tests there are eBooks and practice tests. (Example: for the MCAT there are two complete sets of practice tests and 1 eBook.)

MCAT Test Prep Resources

The library purchases sets of MCAT prep books on a rotation. The books are available on Reserve for a 2-hour checkout by requesting them at the Ask Here Desk. Use your student ID to check them out. To see a list, visit the library catalog and search for "MCAT."

LinkedIn Learning

Most Ohio public libraries offer access to LinkedIn Learning with a library card. Visit their website and look for a section about research or online learning. You might also search their site for LinkedIn Learning.
